Stitch Fix Reveal #48 + Win A $200 Stitch Fix Gift Card!

June 8, 2016

By:

Erin Schrader

I just did the math and while I may not be the smartest whiz on the block, I’m pretty confident that fix #48 also means 4 entire years of Stitch Fix boxes. Holy crap. And I wonder why my husband doesn’t agree to go out to dinner every evening – the life of frozen pizza thanks to Stitch Fix. Hashtag worth it. With this fix I didn’t indicate a single item that I was looking for but rather went with an “all skate, everyone skate” theory. Surprises are the spice of life so that’s what I went for – fortunately what I received were 5 completely different items, all of which intrigued me when opening my box. Also, the phrase “opening my box” seems a little inappropriate but we’ll go with it. Lets see what I received shall we?

Oh but wait, before we begin – did you notice in the title it says that one of you will be winning a whopping $200 Stitch Fix gift card? You read that right sister friends – it is open to new and returning Stitch Fix customers so be sure to enter! That could buy you an entire box folks.

Here are a few words about Stitch Fix and how it all works for you virgins out there [it’s okay, I won’t tell anybody].

1. You start by filling out your style profile – you will complete all sorts of questions on sizing, pricing, preferences, colors, etc. You can also write notes about likes/dislikes. Make sure to link your fashion board on Pinterest so your stylist can see what you like!
2. Order your first fix! Your card will be charged a $20 styling fee however, if you keep any item [one or more] you will be credited back the $20. Because of this I always recommend keeping at least one item or you are essentially giving away $20 for nothing in return. You will receive 5 items [made up of clothing, jewelry, and handbags, whatever you prefer]. I personally only want clothing in my fix so I just always let my stylist know!
3. Decide what you want to keep and what you want to send back [in a postage paid envelope]! You have 3 business days to do so – use this time to try everything on, see what you have in your closet that pairs well with it and don’t be afraid to say yes to something that you wouldn’t normally. That’s what makes Stitch Fix so fun! If you keep all 5 items you will receive 25% off your entire fix, winning!
It should be noted that while I have chosen to receive monthly fixes, this is in no way a subscription service and you are able to decide when you want another fix, whether that be in 6 months or 2 years from your first fix! As always, if you ever have any questions feel free to leave them in the comments section below.
Okay now seriously, here we go! Remember – If you see anything that you like below, feel free to pin away and/or ask your stylist in the notes section of your next fix for something similar! I am the queen of copying other fixes!
1. Loveappella Topeka Crossover Back Knit Top – Small – $54 – Kept
 shorts // shoes

Well, this one was a no brainer for me. I love anything with an open back but put it on a sweater and I’m sold. Sweaters while thought of as a fall or winter piece can totally be styled for summer with shorts and casual shoes for cooler evenings. Sign me up scotty.
2. Collective Concepts Galen Laser Cut Dress – Small – $88 – HELP! I’m not sure!
 wedges

When I pulled this out of the box I thought it was cute but nothing special – but then, oh but then I put it on and it is so comfortable and cute. I love the tie waist and the longer length which ensures my hoo-ha will stay covered at all times which is always an added bonus when out in public. Somebody, anybody please tell me, return or keep? My well being is riding on your answer.
3. Skies Are Blue Diffindo Sheer Detail Blouse – Small – $48 – Kept
white jeans [the best I’ve ever owned!] // sandals [so comfortable, come in 3 colors and currently 30% off!]
white jeans // sandals [so comfortable, come in 3 colors and currently 30% off!]

This was also a no brainer for me as the color and the details were perfection. I love it with white jeans or shorts for all summer long. The back is so fun and well, I love everything about this top. Send me in more colors please and thank you. No but really, please.

4. Urban Expressions Celestia Reversible Woven Tote – $68 – HELP! I’m not sure!

 wedges

Oh my word you guys, this tote. It’s reversible, it’s woven, it’s and the aqua and brown color combo is spot on. I love the size of it [big things and I get along well] and well, I’m just trying to decide if I need it as bad as I think I do. Again, HELP! If you’re looking for a similar reversible tote I found this one for less than $50! Also, can we just all drool over these wedges together? Okay, get cleaned up – we’ve got one more piece to get through.

5. Dear John Kyleigh Straight Leg Jean – 2 – $78 – Returned

tank // lace up sandals [my absolute favorite! available in 6 colors, I’m wearing Smoke Cloud]

Unfortunately these jeans were not my style at all. While you see them rolled in these pictures, I don’t believe they were made to be rolled as they are a little more wide leg style however they were awkwardly short on me so rolled it is. Super comfortable but just not good on my body. Sorry jeans but in the words of N’Sync “bye, bye, bye!”
And that completes my four year of fixes! I’d love to hear your thoughts on what you love, don’t love, what I should keep, don’t keep, all that good stuff.
