Great jeans don’t have to cost a lot of money. We’re talking jeans that feel all sorts of soft, don’t stretch out while offering a great comfortable stretch when you wear, fit [and lift] that booty perfectly, holds in that stomach of yours and are available in both the washes and cuts of your dreams. Meet Wit & Wisdom. I bought my first pair a few months ago [these in both white and blue surf]. It was the whole “ab-solution” thing that did me in, more on that later.
When I saw a large variety of different Wit & Wisdom jeans in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale at crazy prices [we’re talking less than $45 crazy] I knew I had to get my hands on a pair…or seven. I thought it’d be fun to share five totally different pair that are worth your dollars.
Side note before we begin – I did feel that most of the styles fit better one size lower than my normal. Keep that in mind when ordering [you can always order your normal size and the size below because hello, free returns so go for it – or if just ordering one size, consider ordering one size lower than normal!]

It has been a long time since I have worn a pair of non-skinny jeans and man, it felt good. These itty bitty bootcut jeans are all sorts of wonderful in the sense that they have a flare that isn’t too out there. Because these are the ab-solution style it means that they have a hidden inner elastic waistband, slimming mesh panels which are made for tummy control and strategically placed pockets to enhance your shape. Basically, they make you look good. I love these with booties or pumps. Because they are a little longer for my 5’4 frame, I do need something with a heel, but I gotta say – they sure know how to make your legs look long. And for this, I love you itty bitty bootcuts.

Nothing beats a great pair of black pants. If you don’t have a pair in your closet, I strongly encourage you to get a pair and fast. I love these because not only can you dress them down, you can easily dress them up [hello working ladies!] as they have a nice little sheen to them. I love that these hit right at the ankle on me and require no rolling, no hemming, no nothing. They also fit like a charm in all of the right places thanks again to the whole ab-solution miracle thing going on. Again, consider sizing down.
3. Ab-Solution Ankle Skimmer Jeans in Indigo

Ahhh, the classic skinny jean in a great basic wash. This style will forever be my daily go-to. Super easy to throw on and pair with just about anything and everything, so comfortable with the perfect amount of stretch and again, hit at the ankle making all of your fall booties a breeze to wear. These are a definite must as they will carry you all winter long with riding boots, over the knee boots, really any possible boot on the planet.
4. Ab-Solution Stretch Ankle Skinny Jeans in Grey
Grey jeans are another fall and winter must-have in my opinion. It always amazes me how much I find to wear with grey. Think all things rust, olive, blush, black, white, and the list goes on and on. It’s a fun way to spice up your wardrobe in a simple, subtle way. I feel like this pair is the perfect shade of grey and again, thanks to the ab-solution fit, they feel amazing on. 50 shades were right when they went all grey with things. Get it.
5. Wit & Wisdom Twisted Seam Ankle Skimmer Jeans

I added this last pair into the mix, because what’s a jean collection without a unique pair of distressed twisted ankle seam jeans?! Exactly. These are different thanks to the twisted seam, but I love the little bit of edge that they add to any outfit without making too bold of a statement. I am a huge fan of the distressed look myself but love that these don’t go overboard with the cuts and the holes and all that good stuff. I tested these with a pair of riding boots and I gotta say, the little bit of distressing is perfection with them!
