Weekend Recap [Or Better Titled “I Want A Baby”]

June 5, 2017

By:

Erin Schrader

It’s been a heck of a long time since I have done one of these weekend recap types of posts, which is highly unfortunate since they are the only way I am able to remember anything that we have done. This means that the last year of my life is officially forgotten. Sorry 2016-2017.

Where do I begin? I think Friday sounds logical. So Friday – my girlfriend and I took off for the Indianapolis area to get our shopping / mid-day cocktail / Sam Hunt concert on.

It was every part as magical as it sounds. A few things you should know about the entire day which are a few things that could change your life completely. For starters, GO GET A LEGIT BRA FITTING AT NORDSTROM. I had never done this before and ladies, it’s a game changer for your boobs. It turns out that I was purchasing bras that were two band sizes bigger than need be and cup sizes that were two sizes smaller than necessary. Do you know what this means? My boobs were a complete wreck until three days ago. I totally get why they are down to my belly button now..years of handling them with the utmost disrespect. BUT NOW! I have support! My nips don’t slip out from behind the cup [yes, this happened all of the time before] and I have hope that they will magically go back up to where they belong. I am told this is doubtful without surgery but I also believe in a God who walked on water so you know, cooler things have happened. Anyhow, it was life changing and you must go do it now. It’s free, they will measure you and then have you try on all different styles of bras and tell you if they are good or not on you and OH MY GOSH it’s amazing. If you get real lucky you can also army crawl underneath the dressing room shirtless to your friend’s dressing room to do the bra fitting together. I need to start caring more about being a decent human being.
Speaking of human beings, you guys I think I’m ready to have a child. I don’t know why or how it happened but recently I really think I want a baby. Now, I still don’t want to birth a baby myself, but I am all for a surrogacy mother [if you are interested in birthing said child simply email erin@livinginyellow.com and no I am not kidding] or adoption. My husband is finding all of this news to be quite troublesome and his eyes get a little buggy and I hear the word “no” often but I think once he sees me in my new bras he will change his mind.
That’s a joke. No amount of higher boobs could change his mind. We are going to file him under the “work in progress” category which is the same exact category I have been in my entire life. Welcome to the club Shawn. Regardless, Hi I’m Erin and I’m ready to have a child.
Now would be a good time to admit that my cocktail this evening may be a little strong. Oops.
The rest of the weekend was spent either poolside, inside of a boat, celebrating friends for doing things like graduating high school or getting married AND going hog wild at Old Navy. Even the cashier was amazed at the number of items I found, but what can I say – #giftedandtalented.
Fast forward to Monday [that’s today!] and I attended my first ever Power Barre class [hence the strong cocktail, it’s making me forget that I can’t feel my legs] and then spent the remainder of the day in a sports bra, this dress, Nike tennis shoes and a slicked back ponytail. I like to dress as Amish as possible on occasion. On a serious note, I did love the class and can’t wait to go back.
Wait, I didn’t tell you the other thing that could change your life. Attend a Sam Hunt concert. I always kinda thought he was a douche-bag but I am happy to report that he is absolutely not and his arms are arms that you may want to lick. His concert was incredible and I bounced the entire time.
Okay, I think that’s everything you need to know about me for now. Oh wait one more thing – starting tomorrow I am sending out an email newsletter a few times a week that I promise will be fun. If you want in on that simply click here and wait for a unicorn to sprinkle fairy dust all over your inbox. Until next time – peaaaaaaaaaaace.
