4 Spring Looks You Can Afford

I get it. New clothes can be expensive, especially during the turn of the season. You walk into a store, you want it all and then you cry to the cashier as you have to put more than half of it back once you see the total start to add up. I've decided it's time to put an end to those sad realities. We should be able to dress for the new season, add several new looks into our wardrobe without having to spend a fortune. Well kids, the solution is here.

I recently discovered the spring line at JCPenney and oh.my.word. To say I was more than impressed is an understatement. SO MUCH CUTENESS AT SUCH GREAT PRICES! I think my discovery went something like this "add to cart, oh! I like that! add to cart, oops! I need that too! add to cart" and well, here we are now. Four new outfits in tow complete from top to bottom. The best part? I spent less on all of these pieces than buying one pair fancy shoes. More is better.

Before I start sharing my top picks and complete outfits, you should most definitely take note of the VIP Event happening now through April 30th - online all you have to do is use the code BUYNOW13 to take 30% off $100 or more select apparel, shoes, accessories, fine jewelry, home, furniture and mattresses! But wait, it gets better! Both in store and online, if you use your JCPenney card at checkout, you'll receive an extra 25% off or an extra 20% off with other forms of payment on select apparel, shoes, accessories, fine jewelry, home, furniture and mattresses. Basically, it's an incredible way to get your penney's worth ;) [yes, that was a JCPenney pun].

Okay, lets jump into the outfits shall we?

top [43% off! true to size, wearing in small] // jeans [currently 50% off! beyond soft! size down if in between, wearing true to size] // wedges [currently on sale! size up .5] // handbag [60% off!]

This outfit is probably my favorite. The colors, the florals, the incredibly comfortable distressed jeans, edgy wedges, pretty little purse - it's the kind of outfits dreams are made of. I dare you to click on the links above to see the prices that go with them. Warning: your jaws may drop [in the best way possible]. This outfit is perfect for your Mother's Day brunch, girls night out, etc. Also, this purse - you have to see the other color options it comes in. I love all of the compartments, both inside and out to store all of your necessary crap really important items. One more thing and we will continue - this ruffle off the shoulder top, totally rocking a regular bra with it. Miracles people, miracles.

So you want to be a little fancier than jeans and a cute top do you? Have no fear, JCPenney's dress selection has you covered. When I saw the color on this lace off the shoulder dress I knew it had to make its way to my closet. Side note: I would recommend sizing down as it does run a little on the large side. This baby is perfect for spring and summer and will be sure to catch people's eyes as you walk by. Have I mentioned it's currently 41% off? You're welcome.

block heels [currently 45% off! true to size]

Paired with these multicolored floral block heels and whoa baby, it's like having the word fun painted all over you. If you have graduations, weddings, baby showers, etc - this outfit is your new best friend.

So maybe you prefer soft neutrals and bright summer whites over all of that color, well guess what?

off the shoulder top [currently under $20! wearing in small, but could have went with XS - size down if in between] // jeans [currently 50% off! beyond soft! size down if in between, wearing true to size] // wedges [currently 42% off! size up .5, loving this color combo!]

That's what. I fell in love with the brand Belle + Sky while scouring the website and lets just say, it has not let me down. This top is fully lined [yaaay for no cami needed!] and the sleeve detail [hi baby bells!] is adorable. Now, these wedges. I never knew that I needed a pair of blush and rose gold shoes, but now I don't know how I ever lived without them. Super versatile, comfortable and cuter than cute. I love this outfit for summer day festivities, concerts and more!

Last but not least, we're taking it back to a dress, but not just any dress. A $16, fully lined, cold shoulder shift dress that's available in 7 different colors/prints and is sure to please.

short sleeve shift dress [always $16! wearing in 4] // wedges [currently 42% off! size up .5, loving this color combo!]

This spring and summer dress

And there we have it, four outfits at incredible prices that will have people asking you "where did you get that?! I love it!" over and over again. Remember to take advantage of the VIP Event [don't forget the code BUYNOW13] to lock in even better prices! Your wallet says thank you, your closet says it loves you.

Disclosure: Thank you ShopsStyle and JCPenney for sponsoring today's post. While all product was gifted to me, I did personally pick it out, wear it and love it!

  4. JC Penney is great! And it seems like they always have coupons which makes it even more affordable. Those jeans are super cute too! I've been a huge fan of the Stylus jeans there but it seems that they are no longer stocking them anymore. After reading some reviews, I will definitely have to try Belle + Sky!

  6. What size are you wearing in the green dress? I got a small but feel like I could use an XS but then I thought the top elastic would be too tight. Also in the blue dress, is the chest area a little bit tight on you? I got a size 6 and it fits perfect but the chest area is a bit tight. Love your style as these dresses are helping me get ready for our Hawaii vacation.

  9. I love your blog! A friend recommended it to me and I have been following every day since. I did buy the blue floral dress from JCP and was really impressed by the quality! For $16, what a score. I bought a 12 but had trouble fitting the dress over my chest so I will have to size up.

  10. OMG, I love JC Penny and I find some cute things at amazing prices there, but I'm always embarrassed to admit where I get them when people compliment me! I think that store has gotten a bad rap but it's awesome in my humble opinion! I'm honestly not sure how they make any money because everything is so cheap! Super cute outfits!
