Work It [Or Fake It]

I had good intentions going into the new year. In fact, I made it two whole days of working out. TWO. That’s more than one, which for somebody who hadn’t worked out in months upon months, was quite the feat. Now, did I have intentions to continue? Yes. Did I forget and eat Chick-fil-a while lying on the couch instead? Oops. Here’s where the good news comes in – I officially have the clothes on hand that I can workout in should I decide to jump aboard that train however, should I not, I still have the clothes on hand to pretend that working out is something I do. Jokes on you suckers.

Last fall I had started hearing rave reviews around the brand Zella at Nordstrom. I decided I should take it upon myself to see if the brand really lived up to what everybody was saying. Well kids, if it’s any indication by how much I’ve been wearing my high waist leggings and sweatshirts, you could say I like them just a little bit. Okay, a lot. At this point I don’t know how I would get through a day without them, that’s how pathetic it’s gotten. Not only is the brand super well made, SO comfortable, and adorable, it’s also long lasting. Nobody likes leggings that are good for about two wears and then they stretch out, fade, pill and all that good stuff. These my friends, do not.
In addition, yes you can get all show off about things and workout in them, however you can also wear them for lounging around and running errands. I own these same leggings in black and wear them with tunics and sweaters for a more dressier look as well. If high waist aren’t your thing [although believe me, you need to try them if you haven’t before – life changing, you can shop the regular version here.

Here’s where I need your help. Let’s say I decide to start working out again, maybe for like 3 days this time, what do YOU do to stay fit? Now that I’ve got the clothes, I should probably get the moves. So tell me your secrets please and thank you. Oh and hey, if you need some clothes to help with your fitness goals [I’m a believer that the workout is only as good as how cute you look when doing it] you can head to Nordstrom for your one stop shop.

ps. I keep telling my husband that if I would just book a trip to Turks and Caicos I would finalllllly care more and get serious about things but until that happens, sorry partner. You want a flab free wife? Take me to an island, it’s that simple 😉
pps. Speaking of tropical islands, have I mentioned yet that it was literally 8 degrees, windy as heck and snowing like crazy when shooting these photos? #getmeoutofhere

disclosure: thank you to Nordstrom for partnering for today’s post. while I am being compensated for this, all products were purchased, worn and loved like crazy by yours truly.
