Home Tour // The Great Outdoors

September 15, 2016

Because many of you are new around here, I thought it would be fun to do a complete home series on the blog in the coming weeks. While I have done several before/after posts and spring or Christmas tours, I haven’t really done just a regular ole home tour. With the majority of our time spent outside right now I thought we would start there.
If you aren’t new here, you may recall this post where I did a sneak peak into our new patio earlier this spring where I shared what it looked like before. It’s amazing what some concrete and patio railing can do for one’s appearance and soul. I am so thankful that we decided to make a great outdoor space for us to spend time on as we certainly have taken full advantage of the extra space. Lets take a peak shall we?
We’ll start right here – with the main hangout spot. When I spotted this furniture at Hayneedle, I knew it was just the ticket. Thankfully they were willing to partner together and BAM, it all came together even better than I envisioned. Orange is a constant theme that runs through our house [see our kitchen here] so it was fun to bring that pop of color outside. Here you have it, the grand reveal…
We absolutely love the gas fire table as we have always resorted to the old fashioned method of lighting sticks and newspapers on fire type of thing. We’ve officially graduated to adulthood and I gotta say, this whole turn of a knob thing and a flame ignites thing is pretty freaking neat.

decorative pillows here and here
light up anchor // clock came from a vintage store [it’s an aluminum trash can lid] // other pillows

storage accent table // decorative pieces here and here // citronella candle // planter

And then for the other important [okay, most important] area – where we eat.
table and chairs set from Home Depot [not seeing it online] // light up umbrella – LOVE this thing!

We were fortunate enough to have enough space to pour a second area of concrete that houses additional seating. For this area we wanted something a little more laid back so we went back to our roots and placed a traditional fire pit surrounded by these amazing POLYWOOD Adirondack chairs. We love hanging out over on this area and especially love that we have enough seats for people to spread out and have different places to hang.

And there we have it – our complete outdoor oasis. We couldn’t be happier with this entire space. Now, who’s ready to pour a glass of wine or fill up their mug of coffee and come hang? See you soon 😉

Stay tuned for more home tours coming soon!
