Stitch Fix Reveal #49 // Bright, Bold and ALL Keepers + $100 Giveaway!

July 7, 2016

By:

Erin Schrader

dress [available in all sizes] // ankle strap heels [the most comfortable heels for work I own!]
One more fix and I’ll be at the big 5-0. I was thinking I had a few years to go before reaching that grey haired milestone but then I looked in the mirror and realized, suck. We’re here.
Anybody else have grey hair in their 20’s? Fun isn’t it? The future is looking real bright. Reaaaaaaaal bright.
I promise this isn’t a post about the joys of aging [but seriously I turn 30 next week, WHAT, WHY, HOW?] but rather a post about one of the better boxes I’ve ever received from good ole Stitch Fix. It’s funny – usually I am so detailed in my notes about what I want to receive and then the month where I completely forgot to write a thing, my stylist goes and nails it with 5 fun colorful items that I absolutely love. Goes to show spontaneity really is more fun.
I could keep talking but I don’t think that’s the point of this post or why you are here today. I’ll shut up and jump right into the box in which I kept it all. Actually that’s a lie –  I’ve been getting a lot of questions recently around what strapless bra I wear with all of these tanks, off the shoulder tops and dresses – well my friends, it’s this one and I love it. I used to be anti-strapless bra and swore off wearing those cute little tops until now. It comes in every size imaginable [I have mine in the natural nude color and it’s great – in fact I am wearing it every single photo in today’s post!] Holds those babies in place, covers them entirely [no more of that half nip stuff] and doesn’t slide down ever. Cheers to bras and getting this post actually started!

Oh but wait, before we begin – did you notice in the title it says that one of you will be winning a whopping $100 Stitch Fix gift card? You read that right sister friends – it is open to new and returning Stitch Fix customers so be sure to enter!

Here are a few words about Stitch Fix and how it all works for you virgins out there [it’s okay, I won’t tell anybody].

1. You start by filling out your style profile – you will complete all sorts of questions on sizing, pricing, preferences, colors, etc. You can also write notes about likes/dislikes. Make sure to link your fashion board on Pinterest so your stylist can see what you like!
2. Order your first fix! Your card will be charged a $20 styling fee however, if you keep any item [one or more] you will be credited back the $20. Because of this I always recommend keeping at least one item or you are essentially giving away $20 for nothing in return. You will receive 5 items [made up of clothing, jewelry, and handbags, whatever you prefer]. I personally only want clothing in my fix so I just always let my stylist know!
3. Decide what you want to keep and what you want to send back [in a postage paid envelope]! You have 3 business days to do so – use this time to try everything on, see what you have in your closet that pairs well with it and don’t be afraid to say yes to something that you wouldn’t normally. That’s what makes Stitch Fix so fun! If you keep all 5 items you will receive 25% off your entire fix, winning!
It should be noted that while I have chosen to receive monthly fixes, this is in no way a subscription service and you are able to decide when you want another fix, whether that be in 6 months or 2 years from your first fix! As always, if you ever have any questions feel free to leave them in the comments section below.
Okay now seriously, here we go! Remember – If you see anything that you like below, feel free to pin away and/or ask your stylist in the notes section of your next fix for something similar! I am the queen of copying other fixes!

1. Loveappella Kapra Contrast Shoulder Knit Top – Small – $44

clutch [currently 40% off]
distressed jeans // lace up sandals [available in 6 colors, wearing smoke cloud] // bracelet

Not going to lie, this was the one top that I was to send back because the pattern seemed a little much or maybe it was because I had eaten a crap ton of chips the day before taking these photos which meant a lot of sucking in had to occur. Regardless it was cheaper to keep it to receive the 25% discount so now I’ll either drop a few pounds, wear it and love it orrrrr sell it. The suspense, I know.

2. Alice Blue Chlo Lace Up Blouse – Small – $58

white cropped distressed jeans [found them for 56% off making them less than $30!] // lace up sandals [available in 6 colors, wearing smoke cloud] // crossbody purse [available in 3 colors, under $40 and is the perfect size!] // bracelet
Just yes to all of the yes’s for this top – every last one of them. I couldn’t love the pattern, the lace up front or the lightweight fabric more. I wore this out to dinner the night I received it and I can see a lot more wearing of it in my future. Ladies, you need this top in your fix!
3. Crescent Dondi Zipper Back Top – Small – $44
clutch [use code livinginyellow for free shipping]
jeans [my favorite pair of basic skinny jeans ever, so comfortable and great denim color!] // leather sandals [currently 30% off] // bracelet
There’s a reason why my blog is named “living in yellow” – I love this color. It’s funny because I don’t have a ton of it in my closet but the few pieces that I do have I love. This tank is so fun with the side detail fabric and the full zipper back. Okay fine, add it the yes list.

4. Maggy London Valencia Knit Dress – 2 – $118

dress [available in all sizes, $20 less!] // ankle strap heels [the most comfortable heels for work I own!]

I wasn’t sure about this dress when I pulled it out of the box – the pattern threw me off a little until I put it on and that’s when all heck broke loose. I am constantly in the market for work appropriate dresses that are long enough and aren’t showy in the chest reason and this baby is just the ticket. If you love it as much as I do, I did find it for $20 less in all sizes here. The quality of this piece feels great and I know I will get a ton of use out of it.

5. Pixley Dinora Lattice Strap Blouse – Small – $54

white cropped distressed jeans [found them for 56% off making them less than $30!] // leather wrap sandals [currently on sale] // bracelet
clutch [use code livinginyellow for free shipping]

Again, another top that I have so much love for. First the color drew me in – bright orange/coral and then the fun detail on the straps made me stay forever. I love the cut around the chest area and know that this tank is one I will be wearing all summer long. Definitely a keeper!

That completes my 5 for 5’er. Curious to hear which piece is your favorite?

ps. That clutch you see up above in several of these photos? This baby comes from Vincent V Designs and I absolutely love the fun colors and floral pattern. It’s a hard clamshell case, has a chain so it can be worn and is the perfect size to fit everything you need for a day/night out easily. Use code livinginyellow for free US shipping – get yours now!

And now for your favorite part – the giveaway! I decided to step it up a notch from my typical $50 giveaways and double it to $100. It’s my birthday month, I’m in a good mood, don’t get used to it 😉
