Welcome back friends – I hope you all had a great Christmas and have done an incredible job of snuggling deep into your couches with coffee in hand and all sorts of great movies on TV. Is anybody else going a little stir crazy or is it just me that the holidays does this to? Fortunately, stir craziness has led to me do a little bit of investigative work on the “after Christmas sale” front and believe me, I’ve found some things for you and I to take advantage of.
Before we get into all of the shops that are offering you ways to save money, first lets talk about how you can now earn money on your purchases (both online and in-store, WHAT?!). I should start by saying that none of this is sponsored but that I recently learned about this service from one my friends and I’m hooked like glue. It’s called Ebates and probably several of you already know about it because you are actually with the times. Here’s how it works and why it is so great –
1. It is completely FREE to sign up + when doing so, you will receive a $10 gift card to your store of choice which you will receive after you spend $25 or more on a website using Ebates! What Ebates does is offers you cash back just for doing your regular shopping like you always would – you don’t have to do anything special, but can receive anywhere from 1-10% cash back on your purchases from most websites (ranging from your popular retail stores to hotel chains to Expedia to Amazon etc).
2. When shopping online, you can either first go to the ebates website and then click through to the website you would like to shop at or simply download the toolbar widget like I did and click on “activate cash back” once at the website. You do need to do either of these two options to make sure you will receive the cash back from your purchases.
3. Not a big online shopper? No problem! If you simply add your credit or debit card to the Ebates website, you can then look through all of the in store cash back options and click on “link offer” so that when you are in store shopping at any of the linked stores, you will automatically earn the cash back!
4. You will then receive a check in the mail or a payment to your PayPal account – easy as that!
Now that I’ve got you all squared away on how to make money from your purchases, I’ve also done the dirty work for you by researching all of the best sales PLUS the additional discount codes that you can be using along with checking out how much cash back you will earn in the process.
