And here’s what it looks like today….
The only thing I was sure of when I started planning out what I wanted my office to look like was that I knew it had to have an aqua ceiling. I went with Sherwin Williams Tantalizing Teal and it did not disappoint. It’s always amusing to watch older people walk through our house and just stare up at the ceiling and say “wow, that’s bright.” Old people – they just don’t get it. Because the ceiling is the statement piece I wanted a neutral color for the walls – Sherwin Williams Rhinestone for the win. To really make things pop all of the trim and doors were painted white.
As you can also see from the photos above, I do have two different desk areas in this room. That wasn’t always the original plan but after I got my beloved HP Sprout I needed to incorporate another sitting space into the room to use that bad boy. After finding that cute little grey desk at a local vintage shop I was all set.
As far as the other desk, that came from Staples I believe for super cheap a few years ago.
Because we are limited in closet space at this house, I have to get creative with where I can store things. I decided to spray paint an old shelf that we have and then fill it up with all of my jewelry. I had also purchased an old window with a screen and use that for my earrings. It’s not only functional but cute! Winning.
Top it all off with a killer light fixture from Shades of Light and a few other prints here and there and that pretty much covers it!
And there we have it – my happy little work space. If you have any questions on where items are from that I may have forgot to link to feel free to ask! Thanks for stopping by, come again 🙂
