Well, the #1800MinuteChallenge is well underway and I’m 70 minutes of exercise in. This is 70 times the number of minutes I have worked out over the past 7 months. Yes, I was holding out at a strong 0 for months on end. You see, working out is the easiest thing to give up on and the hardest thing to remember why you did once you start back up again. The past two days I have felt so much more productive, strong, and healthy than I have in a long time. It’s those workout endorphin’s I tell ya – they get ya every time. Every time I’m back on the treadmill, doing push-ups, curling 8 pound weights I think about the muscles I am forming – the good things I am doing to my blood pressure – and the extra energy it’s ultimately going to give me at the end of the day. Sure, being able to button my pants again are a nice bonus, but being skinny is not my end goal. I want to be strong, proud of the woman I look at in the mirror, and confident enough to show off my hard work.
Here’s to the next 60 days [and beyond] of becoming more than a size – but a product of hard work, discipline, and sweat with a side of hot bubble baths and a big ole glass of wine.

Founder and creator of LIY, Erin turned her dream of a hobby blog into a full-time career which she now runs alongside the LIY team! When not in front of her computer screen [with a La Croix or wine in hand] or in front of a mirror taking mirror selfies, you can find Erin spending time on the water, cuddled up with her two pups and husband most likely watching the latest Shark Tank episode, or getting lost in an easy beach read.
