I'd Choose Fit Over Skinny

Well, the #1800MinuteChallenge is well underway and I'm 70 minutes of exercise in. This is 70 times the number of minutes I have worked out over the past 7 months. Yes, I was holding out at a strong 0 for months on end. You see, working out is the easiest thing to give up on and the hardest thing to remember why you did once you start back up again. The past two days I have felt so much more productive, strong, and healthy than I have in a long time. It's those workout endorphin's I tell ya - they get ya every time. Every time I'm back on the treadmill, doing push-ups, curling 8 pound weights I think about the muscles I am forming - the good things I am doing to my blood pressure - and the extra energy it's ultimately going to give me at the end of the day. Sure, being able to button my pants again are a nice bonus, but being skinny is not my end goal. I want to be strong, proud of the woman I look at in the mirror, and confident enough to show off my hard work.

Here's to the next 60 days [and beyond] of becoming more than a size - but a product of hard work, discipline, and sweat with a side of hot bubble baths and a big ole glass of wine.

Are you getting your 1800 minutes in? It's not too late to join, just click here

  3. I am so excited about the challenge. That total at the bottom keeps me motivated to put in some sort of effort every single day. I have never realized how pivotal workouts are until I started in December. I have been a better everything since then and I'm so glad you started the challenge to keep me motivated.

  4. I wish I could make that sane statement with confidence, I know I should but there is the small part of me that still wants the skinny back... I will try harder to think smarter. Love the bag you are carrying

  10. I would normally want to join, but being knocked up I don't want to put any pressure on myself to work out a certain amount of time. I do plan on being physical the whole time, but I'm a little too distracted this time around, haha.

I read and appreciate every one of your comments. Thanks for stopping by my space and sharing a piece of yourself on this huge ole internet. I meant that in the least creepy way possible. I'm just good at making everything awkward. Anyhow, thank you for your comments. They make me smile :)
