And as of about two hours ago, Christmas 2014 is completely over for us. This year we opted to be like Vince Vaughn and Reese Witherspoon and have four Christmases. Unfortunately for us however we didn’t have a satellite dish go through the roof, a baby didn’t spit up all over me, no older women hit on Shawn [that I know of], and we didn’t have to have the conversation on whether or not we want to have kids in the near future. Instead we hosted two sides of the family on Christmas Eve [one family for lunch, the other family for dinner with approximately 25 minutes in between the two], celebrated my nephew and mother-in-laws birthday, served lunch on Christmas Day at a local church, gathered in my aunt’s barn for another gathering, and finished out at my sister’s new home this evening. It has been a great indulgent week and my stomach/thighs can prove it. Remind me next year that just because there are boxes of chocolate sitting around, party mix to feed the entire world, and leftover mashed potatoes oozing out of my refrigerator doesn’t mean I have to take full responsibility to polish off every one. Holy calories 2014.

Oh that? Singing….acting like a fish…pretending I have licorice in my mouth, you’ll never know. And neither will I.
Merry everything.
