It’s amazing how much of an impact somebody else’s story can have on your own life. This morning as I was scrolling through my Instagram feed, I came across Alissa’s photo of a sweet 3 1/2 year old little boy Ryan, son to Jacqui of Baby Boy Bakery, who was killed in a tragic accident Friday evening. A precious life taken all too soon as he was innocently running after a frisbee and was struck by a truck. My heart broke immediately for Jacqui and her family. While I do not have kids myself, I can’t even begin to imagine the pain they are going through. Throughout the day I have scrolled through Jacqui’s instagram feed just staring at this precious life which is now gone. All I have is tears. While I know none of us can take the hurt away, there are things that we can do to show support.

+ Send your love to the family on social media by using the hashtag #RedBalloonsForRyan. Last time I checked there were close to 11,000 posts which is such a testament to how strong this online community is.
+ Donate money to the family which can be used for funeral costs and other expenses here
+ Purchase Ryan’s Necklace from Lisa Leonard to show support – $5 from each necklace goes directly to the family.
+ Last, but most important, pray. For peace, comfort, support, rest, and anything else that can bring an ounce of healing to the family during this unfathomable time.
