5 Questions, 5 Answers

Well, I’m officially that person who couldn’t stop laughing last night when the American ice skater got nailed by the ice after his triple axle toe twirl double loop, etc etc. I know that’s probably not American (or civil) of me but come on, that stuff is funny.

Speaking of, Happy Valentines Day kids.

there’s more duck where that face came from

We are celebrating by having my bestie all the way from Nashville and her boy toy over for a home cooked meal complete with steak and champagne. I will also be giving Shawn a handful of cards that I have on hand so that he can select his favorite and then give it back to me. In his defense, he wasn’t necessarily aware that Valentines Day was today until last night. In case you or I was wondering if I am getting a gift this year, the answer is no. The good news is that now I have this one line I can justify every purchase made for the next 365 days…”BUT THINK OF ALL OF THE MONEY WE SAVED BY YOU NOT BUYING ME A VALENTINES DAY GIFT…”

Not that I would ever use that to my advantage.
Today.
In other news, I asked a few of you for questions that I could answer in today’s blog post so guess what we are going to be doing today? Answering those questions. If you answered that correctly, go get yourself a piece of chocolate or my personal favorite, a beef and cheese stick.
The first question that rolled in was “If you could trade lives with any one blogger for a day who would it be?”

Well shoot, that’s hard. Recently I’ve been digging Emily from Cupcakes and Cashmere’s kitchen so I wouldn’t mind having my coffee in there first thing in the morning. Amber from Barefoot Blonde is also a solid option as she travels like it’s her job. Or is it? Honestly though, how is she able to travel every other day to exotic places and what I am not doing right in my life to be able to afford this luxury? Hook a sister up. somebody, anybody. Okay last but not least, Emma and/or Elsie from A Beautiful Mess. It’d be interesting to feel like you just accomplished the world in one day, every freaking day. I complain about not having enough hours in the day, and then I look at them and shut up.
The next question asked “What would you do if social media no longer existed?”

I’d tell you what I would do. I would work out more, drink less, have a better marriage, and “know” a lot less people that I don’t actually know.
Third question up for bid, “If you could boil down your blogging success to one tip-what would it be?”

Become best friends with Giuliana Rancic. And then work really hard, pimp yourself out as often as possible, be 110% yourself, and receive/give love well. But mostly become best friends with Giuliana.

The fourth question, “Where do you see yourself in 5 years? And 10 years?”

I actually answered this question once here. To summarize, it went something like this: I have no idea where or what I will be doing in 5 or 10 years. I don’t know if I will have kids, be working at the same job, living in the same house, have the same group of friends, I KNOW NOTHING ABOUT THE LOGISTICS. The only thing that I do know is that whatever it is, I want to be happy. As long as I am happy, I really don’t care about the rest.

because happy girls are the prettiest. but so are girls with smokin’ bodies, blonde wavy hair, and blue eyes.
And the last of the five questions, “When you started blogging did you have any insecurities about what you put out there? If so, how did you break free of that?”

Absolutely not. I have never been one to shy away from saying exactly what I am feeling which may be why I started to tell a member of the band I saw three nights ago that Kip Moore makes me “excited” if you know what I mean. It’s a blessing and a curse. A curse only because my husband has to sometimes edit my blog posts before I publish them because people like my parents, great aunt, and other people who I am supposed to have “class” around read this. I would strongly encourage you to be as much of yourself as you can on your blog. We all feel differently about this and our comfort levels are all going to be at different points. I guess personally, if I feel like I have to edit and refrain myself from saying what I want to say, what is the point in saying anything? Ya heard?
And that completes today’s question.
I hope you all have a great day of celebrating love by poppin’ bottles and doing other fun stuff, wink wink.
And if you are single, may I suggest making out with the cutest person you see today. If you get slapped, my apologies but you know what they, #YOLO.
