And Today, I Get To Be A Blogger.

Today is a day that I want to remember. It officially marks the first day that I am not supposed to be at my "real job" so that I can do what I passionately love, this. While it may be just one day a week that I am here instead of there, I am so thankful. This one day represents so much more than just "a day off from work". It embodies persistence, support, joys, failures, dreams, dedication, and belief. This space is not about me, but rather you who encourage me to show up daily. You are the ones who keep me going, who push me to think outside the box, who show love on a regular basis even when I don't always reciprocate it back. You have dared me to dream and not look back even when I couldn't see what is in front of me. This online world is so much bigger, yet so much smaller, than I ever imagined. When I randomly hit publish on my first blog post I never dreamed that I would be here today still sharing all of life's crazy/funny/random ramblings. Thank you for all that you have given to me, just by showing up on a regular basis. Without you, this day wouldn't be possible.

So what does today consist of you ask? While eyeliner is not necessary, yoga pants are a staple, and my hair is only half dry, I do take my time to "be here" very seriously. For me personally I have to be intentional with my time or else the day quickly gets away from me. I have already mapped out an hour by hour schedule complete with the necessities that must be done with a few drink wine and paint nails tasks sprinkled in between. Somehow I miraculously woke up earlier than normal and got groceries at 6:30 am just to ensure I can have a pot roast brewing in the crock pot all day. You better believe I am going to take every advantage of being at home that I can. Windows open, candles burning, fresh coffee brewed, the best playlist blasting on Pandora, and a dog cuddled up on my lap.

Cheers to a day full of dreams coming true. I am so beyond thankful. And in the words of my trusty banner, YOLO.

  1. That's exciting! I'm so happy for you! Now, to see about getting my children out of the house one day a week so that I can do the same. Hmm... I did notice we have some new neighbors. Maybe I can convince them with my kids' cute looks and avoid telling them about the crazy things they may or may not do, that I may or may not be responsible for.

  2. I am totally jealous of your one day a week at home. I work full-time and sometimes I wish that I could just have one day a week at home to catch up and cook a meal at a normal pase and not have to rush rush rush. Life is short~~ ENJOY! :)

  8. Thats awesome! Sheesh go girl. 630 am grocery shopping scares me.. I'd buy way too much I did not need from my half asleep brain!

  9. Congratulations! That's great, the day off work and getting grocery shopping done so early. The lines are never that long and the cashiers seem to be in great moods because customers haven't annoyed them yet!

  35. Have fun!! Did you schedule a nap in there anywhere? ;)

This is a totally random question but one of your pictures reminded me. A while ago you mentioned in a post about the backgrounds (they look like wood or brick or whatever) you use in some of your pictures. Do you happen to remember the name of the company where you bought them?
