I’m kinda diggin’ this whole sharing recipes from time to time. For once in a great while it makes me believe that this blog has purpose and that purpose is food danggit. It only seems fitting to impart one of life’s most talked about topics onto this space from time to time. Or maybe that’s just my most talked about topic. Regardless, every once in awhile I have this bright idea to pour a glass of wine, turn up Pandora, and lose myself in a few sticks of butter. No but really, soon enough I won’t be able to see my feet because of the amount of butter I use in recipes. That’s besides the point. The point is however that what I am about to share with you is not only unique, it is fun, delicious, and leaves people saying “my taste buds sure are confused but those are delicious”. Yes, I did receive that email from a coworker today. I also received others that said “OMG THOSE ARE SO GOOD” so yeah, I think people liked them okay.
Here is where things get exciting party people. Below are cookies that not only have vanilla pudding, and white chocolate chips, or one and a half sticks of butter, BUT THEY ALSO HAVE FRUITY PEBBLES
Do you realize the significance of this? I hope so because I used both caps and italics to drive that point home. Fruity Pebbles always have been and always will be one of the two cereals I put in my mouth, so the fact that they are now tucked away in soft chewy cookies is somewhat of a miracle. Never say miracles don’t happen. Proof is below. Also it should be noted that Fruity Pebbles from Walgreens taste better. I know this only because that is where I picked mine up and holy cow they were the most delicious thing I’ve ever eaten after a full day on the lake Saturday. No it didn’t have anything to do with the drinks consumed that day, I promise.

(also known as a party in your mouth)
Ingredients:

1 1/2 sticks butter (softened)
1 cup sugar
1 3.4 oz package vanilla instant pudding
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 1/4 cups flour
2 cups Fruity Pebbles
1 cup white chocolate chips

Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350. Lightly grease cookie sheet.
2. Sift together the flour and baking soda, set aside.
3. Cream together the butter and sugar. Pour in the pudding mix and stir until blended. Add in the eggs and vanilla. Slowly add in the flour mixture until completely blended. Add in the fruity pebbles and white chocolate chips.
4. Scoop into balls and bake for 8-11 minutes.

And because my nieces started a brand new babysitter today I only found it fitting to smother those sweet little pickles with these fruity pebble cookies. Turns out they now want to start at a new babysitter every day. Can’t say I blame them.

And there we have it, one of the easiest most kid (and adult) pleasing cookie on the block. Now get your little booty cakes to Walgreens, pick up your Fruity Pebbles, and get on with the show already.
ps. “getting on with the show” totally means make these cookies and then ship them to me. k thanks.
