Make: BBQ Chicken Pizza With A Kick

July 31, 2013

By:

Erin Schrader

I finally feel as though I have reached that so called “domestic” state.
I only know this because I no longer freak the freak out if I don’t follow a recipe to a science.
I have always been that girl who has insisted that I get eye level with the 3/4 cup of water I just poured because WHAT IF it was actually 3/4 plus 1/16 of an inch more? Surely the recipe would be screwed for life. But these days? Psssssssh. Recipe schmesipe I say. Well technically I say “Frick. I don’t have any cream cheese like the recipe calls for. How about 4 sticks of butter and 2 cups of milk to make up the difference?!”
Listen. Somebody has to take over for Paula Deen and it may as well be me.
The recipe I am about to share with you is one of those easy ones that will make you look like you know what you are doing in the kitchen. I recommend you only make these types of recipe ever. You will notice I won’t give any measurements to anything below, it’s because I didn’t measure. Sorry about your luck, but seriously–if I can do it, you can do it too. Have hope ye child of little kitchen confidence, greatness is soon to abound.
Friends, allow me to present to you one of the better things to put in your mouth that will instantly spice things up in that life of yours….
it just seems like a good cooking song
Here is what you will need to purchase..

And here is what you will need to do….

1. Cook chicken breast. I used just one big one…that’s what she said.

Spice up the breast with some good ole chili and garlic powder

2. After getting the chicky poo cooked, spread that BBQ sauce all over your (store bought) crust..

3. Load your pizza up with chicken, veggies, cilantro, and seasonings.

4. Top with cheese. Lots and lots of cheese.

5. Bake at 350 for 10 minutes give or take, or throw on the grill until done!

And there you have it. A happy mouth. A happy husband. A happy everything.
Cheers to spicing up your life, one bite at a time.

Today’s featured sponsor really needs no introduction but I’ll go ahead and give it to you any ways because that would be slightly awkward without it. Today I introduce to you to Mish from Mish Lovin Life. Her blog should actually be called Erin Lovin Mish but that’s besides the point right now.

If you like hilarious and slightly inappropriate, you will love Mish and her blog. Her free spirit and zest for life and all that it has to offer is so contagious. If you aren’t reading her blog already, I am sorry. Get to know Mish a little more then go pay her a visit.

When did you start blogging and why?
I started blogging January 2011 because after writing in journals all my life and realizing how much I enjoyed reading OTHER people’s blogs, I thought “Well, why the heck can’t I do it too?” And so I did. And then I never looked back. Literally. I can’t look at old posts I wrote. They make me cringe.

If you could offer one piece of advice to a new blogger, what would it be?
First and foremost, be you. And “you” doesn’t always have to mean rainbows and butterflies. This is YOUR space and YOUR words. There are no rules. Also, haters gonna hate. Just assume they’re jealous and be done with them. 😉 Kidding. Sort of.
If you could summarize your blog in three words or less, what would you say?
Light-hearted. Humorous. Mildly Inappropriate.
