You Asked. I Answered. Part Two

Callie wants to know “What is one thing in your marriage that you guys do really well at? Something you two could approve at?” Good question. One thing we do really well together is a three letter word which happens to release a lot of good endorphins  It’s a little word I like to call fun. We know how to have a lot of fun together, and not just in normal “fun” circumstances but more so in the mundane activities like putting laundry away, getting ready in the mornings, standing in the aisles of Lowes, etc. Neither one of us takes life (or each other) too seriously which usually leaves us laughing 98% of the time. Life should be enjoyable and relationships should be no different. On the flip side, one thing we struggle at—we tend to love technology more than each other. Seriously. We can go two hours without saying a single word to each while we are both face planted into our iPhones and iPads. It’s pathetic on a lot of different levels. Who needs sex when you have new tweets to read?!! Or something like that.
Marla was curious and wants to know “How much money does your blog bring in on a monthly basis?” This answer fluctuates depending on how much time and energy I am spending on my blog in that particular month. I did write a detailed post about this here where you can see how it all averages out.
Julie made me think by asking “What is your go to outfit that is an instant confidence boost?”
MY BIRTHDAY SUIT. Okay so that’s a slight joke. I would have to say something that is simple yet sexy. Like a cute top that exposes some shoulder or back, jeans, and heels. This outfit pretty much sums up what I am talking about.

Katie reminded me that I need to pick up a pair of dumbbells by asking “Do you work out consistently or are you just lucky and have good genes?” There have been periods of my life where I have worked out consistently. Just a few years ago I was successfully running 3-4 miles before work while also lifting weights on a regular basis. But then life (ie: blogging) happened and it went to trash from there. Every once in a while (okay like every six months) I will go out and run a mile but other than that, nada. This all somewhat sucks because I do enjoy how working out makes me feel and muscles are pretty nice to have around, but for now I will take advantage of the fast metabolism that seems to be doing its thing. I mean, I will start working out. Tomorrow.
Kristen wants to know “When you were a kid what did you want to be when you grew up?”
Well shoot. Parts of me feel like I am still a kid trying to figure out what I want be when I grow up. However, when I was a “kid kid”, I wanted to be a bagger at a grocery store. That or the woman at the library who would put the books in your bag when you checked out. Basically I had a strange fascination with putting anything in a bag. It just seemed so thrilling at the time. I would sit on the couch with bags in hand and just place things in them, you know..for practice. Perhaps it was because of this weird fascination that I now end up in the self-checkout lane daily at the local grocery store? Full circle..it’s all making sense.

One thing I never wanted to be? A make-up artist.

As always, if you have questions you want to ask feel free to leave them below!

Peace out nutter butters.

If you could offer one piece of advice to a new blogger, what would it be?
I would say to just DO it! Start writing and don’t stop. Don’t let other bloggers intimidate or prevent you from being you and getting started. Remember, other blogs are in the middle of their journeys and you are just at the start. If you are anything like me, you’ll expect progress right away, but just be patient and do your research. We ALL have something to offer the blogging world, so get out there and just do it 🙂
What inspires you?
I am inspired by really talented, outgoing, and down-to-earth people who can strike up a conversation with anyone and find something interesting to say. These people embody the concept of having “social excellence.” I am inspired by pretty colors and patterns. I love things that are easy to make and practical. I am inspired by bloggers. I am inspired by PINTEREST!
What is your favorite form of social media?
As of late, my favorite form of social media is Instagram!  I absolutely love pictures, the small Twitter-like captions, and the ability to share with friends.
Good call on the Instagram selection there Marissa. A to the men.
