How Do People Who Live In Warm Climates Blog?

Sunshine gets the best of me kids.
I’m not gonna lie, this blog might go to H-E-double hockey sticks come Summer.
I mean who in their right mind wants to sit around and play on a computer all evening when you can sit under your pergola, wine by your side, and a good book in hand?
Not I.
Which is why I have nothing to share with you freak shows today.
By freak shows I mean precious, intelligent, joyful, lovers.
Plus. Today is my dad’s birthday. And what daughter writes a blog post when she should be celebrating her dad’s birthday?
Well, apparently I do.
But in my “I am the best daughter” defense, we did celebrate his birth last night.
It looked a little like this.
Gosh I love my family.

You know what else I love?
Just for the heck of it.
Because getting introduced to new blogs rocks my socks off.
Which is why I haven’t worn any the past couple of evenings.

Link up your blog friends.
No topic necessary.
Just a good ole fashion “Come read my blog, I love new readers” link-up.
Fun right?

If you feel like telling your friends, neighbors, co-workers, and/or animals at your local zoo that you linked up feel free.
Blog about it.
Stamp your forehead.
Graffiti a billboard.
I don’t care.
The more people that link-up, the greater the party.
And you know how I love parties.

PS. Want to see how awkward the making of "fashion posts" are in my house?
Take a look here.
You will be blown away by my "this girl has no right taking pictures of herself in clothes" abilities.

  4. I live in Hawaii but am not an outdoors or beach type of person. I know shocking! I would love for someone to take my girls so I can blog in peace. :) Your photos are great, what a nice day out. Happy Birthday to your dad and what a cutie that little one is!!

  5. Yay for warm days, families, and link ups! :-)

  6. Love the link-up!
And I'd probably sell my left kidney for some sunshine. Or my spleen. Or both.
Whatever... I just want some sun in my life!

  7. Thanks for letting us link up, Erin! Great idea! So fun!

  8. Thanks for the link up! Loving our warm weather in MI!! It's supposed to be in the 70's the rest of the week and I plan to be outside for as much of it as possible :)

  9. Ummm - Best daughter?!?!?!. Your dad had to light his OWN birthday candles?!?!?!. Pfffft!

  10. 1. Clever little link-up!

    2. I love that you say h-e-double-hockey sticks, I say that haha

    3. Your parents look so sweet!!
Hope your dad had a great birthday!!

  11. Hehe Dad lights and blows out his own candles, AWESOME.

I might transition to a 'night blogger' for these nice days we've been having, because SERIOUSLY who wants to be in front of a computer?!? I mean, yeah, I can take my netbook outside in the yard, but stilllll....

  12. I feel the same way. Since the time changed and it started getting darker later, the last thing I want to do when I get home is jump on my computer! I love your dad's sweatshirt because I am from about 20 minutes south of Mackinaw and it use to be one of my favorite places in the summer!

  13. I love that the spring weather is finally here! I love the picture of your dad lighting his own candles, made me laugh.

    Great link up, thanks!

  14. Aww your daddy looks like a sweet man. Celebrating daddies' birthdays are the best. Looks like you all had a great time!

  15. I struggle with being st work inside when its so nice outside. Thanks for the linkup!

  16. Happy bday to him!! Love the Mackinac Island shirt. I grew up 50 miles north just over the border in Canada. Always makes me smile to see things like this - brings back lots of happy memories! :)

  17. What a fun looking party! I wish it was warm enough here to grill.

  18. Erin I absolutely adore this little blog of yours!! You're hilarious! And living in TX gets old real fast girl.. we get drenched walking from our house to the car. TRUTH. have a good evening!!

  19. I love that you did a link up, it's so much fun to peruse! (Because I totally didn't have enough to read to begin with)

  20. I love his Macinac Island sweater!! I live in Grand Rapids.. Do you live in Michigan too?

  21. So happy for the nice mid west weather this week! Looks like you had an amazing time with your family! Happy b-day to your dad :)

  22. Love the link up!!

It sounds like y'all had an amazing time, happy birthday to your dad!

  23. Very fun, thanks for hosting! I'm a new follower of your blog, looking forward to reading more! Hope you had a lovely evening!

  24. I love your pictures from your Dad's birthday!

    xo Teresa

  25. I like the link-up idea, but I think you could go even further! Maybe host a swap-button meet for newer, less-publicized bloggers? I'd love to put buttons on my blog of bloggers with similar small followings (um...13...) and swap buttons with them...whaddaya think, chickie? x

  26. Looks like it was a great birthday! I have to agree in that it's going to get a lot harder to stay up on the blog as it gets warmer. Yesterday we hit 18C when our normal for this time of the year is between about -10C to -15C!

  27. After visiting my little brothers in the Cayman Island last week I imagine I struggle to blog so often living there. Though thanks to wireless internet you can have that drink (I prefer mine with umbrellas) under the pergola and blog at the same time.

  28. Hey lady - I found your blog through the rabbit hole the other night, and you. are. HEEEE-larious. I love a girl with a sense of humor (or humour, if you're British). Sheesh - this is starting to sound like a Match.com personal. ANYHOOOOOOZLE, just wanted to say hi, and I am numbah 100 on the link up if ya wanna pop over and say hi sometime. This may very well be the lamest comment ever written.

  29. Thanks for letting us all link up! I love places like this to find lotsss of fun new blogs to read!

Also- You're now the coolest person in blog land because you accesorized a snuggle. WINNING! ;)

  30. Since I'm a teacher, I don't work when its warm outside. So I have time to play AND blog!!! Thanks for the link up girly!!

  31. Ok I miiiight be the stupidist (is that a word) person in the planet but where do we link up pretty girl/!?!

and you? Are freaking hilarious. so entertaining. New bffs??? yes please.

  32. Looks like a really great time! I love all of your fashion posts - gives me extra motivation to try harder and not just wear sweats!

  33. I love back yard BBQs and no socks. I heart spring.

  34. Love that your mom is drinking a beer and your dad is drinking a glass of wine!!

    Happy Birthday to your dad!

  35. ha! we blog while we're stuck inside at work all day...

    happy bday to your daddy!

  36. I'm sitting on my back porch. It's gorgeous today. But I bet the people who live in warm climates blog when it's like 100000 degrees out and they're inside sitting directly in front of the air conditioner.

  37. Your family is adorable. I am totally obsessed with my family as well...greatest.ever. Happy late bday to your pops :) Alllllssssoooo gimme a glass of that wine! Yummmmy.

  38. I'm in San Francisco where it is foggy all summer, so I don't have your particular blog problems...but I imagine that if I lived someplace that gets sunshine I would be in the same boat as you!

  39. I love my family too! They are wonderful, and I feel so lucky to call them mine!

    Who doesn't love a "just because" link-up?! ;-)

I read and appreciate every one of your comments. Thanks for stopping by my space and sharing a piece of yourself on this huge ole internet. I meant that in the least creepy way possible. I'm just good at making everything awkward. Anyhow, thank you for your comments. They make me smile :)
