And...My Cup is Filled

Tonight was the first ever {and what I'm hoping to be annual} clothing drive held at
 The Post.
It was such a success and SO fun to see these girls FILL their bags with whatever clothing/jewelry/purses/shoes they wanted.
Thank you to all of the wonderful ladies who gave so generously as you cleaned our your closets...
I wish each and every one of you could've been there to see the smiles on their faces and the excitement in their eyes as they dug through the piles.
Lucky you, I have some pictures to share:

These girls have no idea how they touched my life.
I was lucky enough to get to know a couple of the girls on a more personal level over the last two evenings.
As I said bye to them tonight, I felt twinges of sadness that tomorrow night wouldn't be spent with them again.
It is SO true that the greatest gifts come when you are giving.
I will never forget this evening and am so thankful to have been a part of it.

...Special thanks to my sister who helped this evening at the event.
Although we failed miserably at trying to recommend cute clothes to the girls, it was fun to have her by my side. Love you sis =)

...Also, special thanks to The Shine Project for sparking this idea in the first place.
Good things really do come out of this blogging world ;)

  7. Great Job, Erin! This is so amazing - I'm sure each and every one of those girls are so thrilled to have a closet full of new clothes. Such a great idea. I'd love to get in touch with you about how to organized this - I think Columbus could DEFINITELY benefit from something like this.

I absolutely agree with you that good things come out of this blogging world. You are a true inspiration, doll!

    Have a fabulous day!

  8. Saw your story on The Shine Project blog. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this idea!!! I have a closet that is in desperate need of cleaning out and I have been wanting to do this Shine challenge. I coach a high school cheerleading squad and I was looking for ways to get my girls involved in community service. You gave me a great idea! I want my girls to donate their clothes and get people they know to donate items, and then put together a "shopping day" for those in need. Congratulations on your successful event, and thanks for the inspiration!

  9. Hey Hey Hey..... found your blog over on The Shine Project and wanted to let you know...you did good, real good.... :)

You my dear internet friend whom I have never met before have inspired me to do the same. I have already called "the place". Good job!

  10. good job E. Love, Dad.

  11. THX for sharing

I read and appreciate every one of your comments. Thanks for stopping by my space and sharing a piece of yourself on this huge ole internet. I meant that in the least creepy way possible. I'm just good at making everything awkward. Anyhow, thank you for your comments. They make me smile :)
